I am just like this!
I love to cook, I love to be creative. I love to be creative when I cook! Smiley, if you don’t know him, is a really quiet and reserved guy. Don’t get me wrong, he is not a doormat! He just really chooses his words and his battles carefully. For example “The Green Bean Casserole Incident”. So when I start to ‘get creative’ in the kitchen he refers to me as the Swedish Chef and sometimes get a bit… well… outspoken about the results.
On top of Smiley’s tastes I have special dietary concerns!
I am a gultoide! Yes that is what I call myself because of my undiagnosed gluten intolerance. This makes my creative cooking somewhat challenging so when I come up with a creation that is both Smiley approved and I can eat I have to try to remember how I did it (bork bork bork–) AND WRITE IT DOWN!
Now considering I’m like the Swedish Chef… Do you think I measure?
NO! of course not!
My grandmother “Nannie” had a recipe for a cake in her collection of kitchen creations that started with ‘put one egg in cup (didn’t say what size cup), fill cup with milk.’ So I probably come by this naturally. Therefor on all of these Smiley Approved Creations I have to add the disclaimer about the measurements. Measurements are only suggestions…
